Duplex 2205 is a two-phase, ferritic, austenitic . Including 22% Cr, 3% Mo, and 5 to 6% Ni alloyed stainless steel. It has been used widely and is provided with high yield strength, doubles that of the standard austenitic stainless steel grades. It also has good fatigue strength and outstanding resistance to stress corrosion c, crevice, pitting, erosion, and general corrosion in severe environments.
