Stainless steel is placed after a period of deep-drawn, just after the deep-drawn qualified products will appear cracked. To product manufacturers or consumers bring great losses, at the same time, the cracking phenomenon is not understood, there is no suitable method to deal with. It causes great losses.
The so-called age cracking refers to the cracking of parts after they have been machined and left for a period of time. The main cause of age cracking is: the residual (compressive) hydrogen embrittlement of the material stress. When high temperature annealing, the diffusion capacity of the hydrogen element in the γ-phase is high and the hydrogen element reaches a state of saturation solid solution. With the formation of processing deformation martensite phase, and room temperature, the diffusion rate of hydrogen in α compared to γ phase is large, thus the hydrogen to α phase of the martensite phase aggregation; on the other hand, room temperature, α phase of the solid solution of hydrogen is low, so the hydrogen in α phase of the martensite interface gasification, martensite phase surface energy is low, the aggregation of hydrogen, resulting in brittle cracking around the martensite phase. The main way to solve this cracking is to reduce the probability of ageing cracking by annealing the product.
